This is a second shift position 2:
30 pm until 11 pm.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES Supervise all employees in your department and manage the flow of production.
Observe production operation within their area of control to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment.
Take corrective action to eliminate any deviation from the pre-established hourly production rate.
Monitor shop floor safety.
Responsible for training team members in their operations and the safety requirements of that operation.
Responsible for maintaining high standards for housekeeping, safety and general maintenance.
Work with the Operations leadership and Manufacturing Engineering to minimize manpower required on jobs to maximize production output.
Delegation of work assignments, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.
Work with Quality Assurance personnel to maintain superior quality productivity to reduce the need for rework or re-processing.
Verify work standards/ set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date.
Must also ensure employees follow them.
Monitor scrap on daily basis and implement corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals.
Focus on improving product and process capability.
Forward thinking and self-motivated in relation to production floor/ systems improvements.
Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues.
Oversee production meetings with employees in your department.
Liaison to Team Leaders on all shifts (Coach, Lead, and Direct).
Must be willing to accept phone calls during off hours.
Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary.
Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times.
Schedule and post overtime requirements when necessary.
Monitor vacation and attendance of employees in your department.
Responsible for time entry.
Supports, enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures.
In charge of completing performance evaluations on employees.
Requirements Minimum three years' experience in a supervisory role (required).
Automotive manufacturing industry experience (required).
Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Some schedule flexibility High school diploma or equivalent.
